About SERDAC
The USM Satellite Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (SERDAC) is a specialized research facility established to advance socioeconomic research and data analysis in the region and BARMM. Funded by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), the center focuses on empowering communities through evidence-based policy recommendations and innovative research. Located at the MRDP in the CBDEM, the center offers a range of services, including socioeconomic assessments, data analysis training, and impact studies, aimed at driving sustainable development in the region.

To enhance the capacity of socioeconomic researchers in Mindanao and tap the potential of the socioeconomic R&D sector in providing technical assistance to the other research sectors (e.g. crops, livestock, forestry, fishery).
