From 2020 to 2022, Jan Clyden B. Tenorio, DVM has published nearly a dozen of articles in peer-reviewed journals, the majority of which are indexed by Web of Science or Scopus. His publications involve various aspects of Veterinary Public Health: from zoonotic diseases to the understanding and application of the One Health paradigm. Tenorio is a faculty of the College of Veterinary Medicine. He is currently on study leave and is pursuing his Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
As he aspires to continue to publish more peer-reviewed papers in the future, he also wishes that other young academics would follow suit. He believes that writing peer-reviewed materials provides a safe platform on which informed ideas and results are communicated for beneficial use. Further, it provides an avenue to contribute to national and international development by moving the boundaries of knowledge, even just a little bit. Jan Clyden B. Tenorio holds it true that publishing enables individuals to ‘Stand on the shoulders of giants,’ as Google Scholar would put it.
