MANILA – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday, December 7, 2018 the results of the Licensure Examination for Teachers September 2018. USM scored 3 topnotchers.

Leading the list were Top 2 Ashley Coleen S. Ortiz, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude) with a rating of 92.60%; Top 7 Genemar S. Cimafranca, Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino (Cum Laude) with 91.60% rating; and Top 7 Wrendell C. Juntilla, Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics (Magna Cum Laude) with 91.60%.

According to PRC, a total of 60,803 secondary level teachers out of 126,582 examinees (48.03%) passed. Meanwhile, 18,409 elementary teachers out of 90,750 examinees (20.29%) passed the most numbered licensure examination given by PRC.

USM produced a total of 401 new secondary level teachers and 111 new elementary teachers registering a 50.19% USM passing rate for BSE and 13.94% for BEED.
