USM Concludes Five-Day AACCUP Accreditation Visit for Five Academic Programs The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) completed the five-day accreditation visit for five academic programs conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc., with a virtual exit conference held via Zoom on October 30, 2026. During the conference, Dr. Ruben E. Borja II, Professor of Bulacan State University and overall accreditation coordinator, presented the accreditors’ recommendations based on their observations and assessment of the programs. USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel said the University would address the recommendations to further improve its academic programs. Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, Director of the University Quality Assurance Office (UQAO), thanked the accreditors, USM local counterparts, and UQAO staff for their contributions throughout the accreditation process. With the visit completed, USM awaits the official results of the Level I First Survey Visit.
