The SOCCSKSARGEN Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (SOXAARRDEC) held the 1st Quarter Joint Clusters Meeting CY 2026 on April 16, 2026, virtually via Zoom.
Dr. Julius Jerome G. Ele, Consortium Director, delivered welcome remarks addressing the 17 Consortium Member Institutions present at the meeting, to wit, the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, Cotabato State University, Southern Christian College, South Cotabato State College, Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute XII, Department of Science and Technology XII, Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII, PhilRice-Midsayap Experimental Station, National Dairy Authority-Southern Mindanao Department, Philippine Information Agency-Regional Field Office XII, Philippine Rubber Research Institute, University of Southern Mindanao, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources XII, Department of Trade and Industry XII, Makilala Institute of Science and Technology, DA-Philippine Carabao Center at USM, and the Mindanao State University-General Santos.
Each cluster of the consortium conducted its meeting, with the Regional Cluster Coordinators as presiding officers. Dr. Tamie C. Solpot, Regional Research and Development Cluster Coordinator, led the R&D Cluster, Dr. Gina D. Balleras, Regional Technology Transfer Cluster Coordinator, led the Technology Transfer Cluster, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, Regional Science Communication Cluster Coordinator, led the Science Communication Cluster, and Prof. Eugene G. Ranjo, Regional Information Communication Technology Cluster (ICT) Coordinator led the ICT Cluster.
The meeting concluded with a closing message from Dr. Mark Al-Jamie J. Muttulani, Deputy Consortium Director, expressing his gratitude to the Consortium Member Institutions for their active participation and strong collaboration for the AANR sector in the SOCCSKSARGEN Region.
