Newly Commissioned 2nd Lieutenants Pay Courtesy Visit to USM President

Twelve alumni of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) who were recently commissioned as Second Lieutenants (2LTs) after completing the Officer Candidate Course of the Philippine Army Officer Candidate School (PAOCS) paid a courtesy visit to USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel at the Office of the President, Administration Building, on July 22.

NSTP Director Prof. Bonifacio Solsoloy and Prof. Winnie Reyno accompanied the newly commissioned officers, who belong to OCC CL 03 “Talagilab” 2026 and OCC CL 64 “Gundaway” 2026.

Dr. Pimentel congratulated the officers on successfully completing the course and earning their commissions as Second Lieutenants. He encouraged them to continue their academic journey by pursuing graduate studies, saying that further education would help them gain new knowledge and prepare them for greater responsibilities in military service. He also reminded the officers to remain humble throughout their careers.
