Manhattan, New York – Dr. Riceli C. Mendoza, director of University Quality Assurance Center, received the Best Research Paper Award during the 2nd International Research Education Conference (IREC) on April 22, 2019.

The conference organized by the Association of Filipino Teachers and Educators in America (AFTEA) was attended in by 60 participants from Asia and America.

Dr. Mendoza’s research entitled “Indigenous Knowledge and the Transmission of Oral Manobo Folk Stories” was chosen as the Best Paper Presentation among 54 research presenters.

The award was presented by Dr. Eufemia Patron, AFTEA IREC executive director during the AFTEA Awards Night.
