USM records 100% passing rate in August 2026 Criminologists Licensure Exam

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) continues to make its mark in national licensure examinations and international university rankings, earning two Certificates of Commendation from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XII (CHEDRO XII) for its exemplary performance as a higher education institution.
The recognition was conferred during the culmination ceremony of ASEAN 2026, on August 27, held at the Tacurong Convention Center in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.
Among the achievements recognized by CHEDRO XII was USM’s performance in the Veterinary Medicine Licensure Examination, where the university was recognized as a Top Performing School, as well as the performance of the USM Kidapawan City Campus in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers – Secondary Education.
Adding to the recognition were 12 USM topnotchers who were also honored during the ceremony for their outstanding performance in their respective licensure examinations.
Beyond its licensure examination performance, USM also secured places in several international university rankings in 2026.
The university placed in the 1,501+ bracket of the QS Asia University Rankings 2026 and in the 1,001-1,500 bracket of the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Rankings.
USM also ranked 480th in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, placing 25th in the C1 category, 27th in C7, and 99th in B8.
Taken together, the recognitions show USM’s performance in different areas of higher education, from the licensure examinations of its graduates to its standing in international university rankings.
University President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leorence C. Tandog received the Certificates of Commendation.
