To address key operational issues identified during the 2026 Mid-Year Monitoring Review, the Extension Services Office (ESO) Monitoring and Impact Assessment (MIA) Unit conducted an orientation on extension processes for project leaders on August 24, 2026, at the ESO TC Room.

The session covered end-to-end project stages, from pre-implementation to post-implementation. Education Program Specialist I Rahima A. Cabunto detailed procedural requirements and stressed baseline community needs assessments:

“Kinakailangan nating mag-conduct ng needs assessment para malaman natin kung anong problems sa community as well as the resources available, so later on kapag mag-craft tayo ng proposal, mayroon tayong baseline,” Ms. Cabunto said.

MIA Unit Head Prof. Anamarie B. Uyangurin also advocated for cross-college collaboration, stating: “Kapag may na-discover tayong problem from the community and alam natin hindi ‘yun ang expertise natin, pwede nating ibigay sa ibang experts from other colleges.”

Beyond proposal writing strategies designed to streamline impact tracking, the program featured a collaborative session where leaders exchanged best practices. The initiative reinforces ESO’s ongoing commitment to sustainable, high-impact community engagement.
