Newly Licensed Civil Engineers Pay Courtesy Call to University President
April 24, 2026
Personnel from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) visited the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) on April 23, 2026, to explore the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ABE) program, along with cacao production, processing, and smart cacao technologies.
The visit gave both sides time to share ideas and practical approaches in improving ABE education and advancing cacao work. Discussions focused on better production methods, stronger post-harvest practices, and the use of technology in cacao farming.
The CLSU team also learned about USM’s work in cacao research and development. They toured selected facilities and observed how cacao is produced and processed within the university.
Both universities expressed interest in continuing the engagement through research, extension, and academic programs. The visit aims to support growth in agriculture and contribute to the development of the cacao industry in the country.
