Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, one of the members of the Board of Regents (BOR) of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) XII Regional Director was awarded Outstanding Engineer in National Government Agencies, Engr. Jones B. Saliling, the Chief Learning Architect of USM’s Linang Tao Academy and former HRMDO Director, was awarded Outstanding Engineer in the Academe, and Engr. Agnes L. Du, the OIC Provincial Agriculturist of Sarangani Province, was awarded Outstanding Engineer in the Local Government Unit Sector. These three awardees were graduates of USM to wit, Engr. Malawan in 1983, Engr. Saliling in 1997, and Engr. Du in 1990.
The official awarding ceremony will take place on January 19, 2024, at the Venue 88 Hotel and Events Place, General Santos City during the Regional Convention, General Assembly, and Oath Taking Ceremony of the Philippine Society of Agricultural Biosystems Engineer (PSABE) Region XII.
