USMASSAI, DA-PCC at USM Sign MOA on Carabao Enterprise Development

The University of Southern Mindanao Academic Support Staff Association, Inc. (USMASSAI) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) on September 1, 2025, at the DA-PCC at USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

The agreement signifies a partnership in advancing carabao-based enterprise initiatives within the university and nearby communities. Through the collaboration, DA-PCC at USM will provide dairy buffaloes, technical training, and support services covering animal production, breeding, health management, and milk processing. USMASSAI, in turn, will oversee the management of dispersed animals, facilitate member participation, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

The MOA underscores the shared commitment of USMASSAI and DA-PCC at USM to strengthen the Carabao Enterprise Development Program, promote sustainable livestock production, and contribute to the welfare of smallholder farmers and stakeholders in the region.
