The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) welcomed the Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) for a benchmarking visit on September 17, 2026, which focused on USM’s practices in managing its institutional website, developing content, and handling online publications.
Directors and personnel from the University Information and Communication Technology Office (UICTO) and the University Public Relations and Information Office (UPRIO) met with the NDMC team to discuss website administration, content production, and staff roles and responsibilities.
Prof. Eugene G. Ranjo, Director of UICTO, presented the technical aspect of website management, while USM Information Officer Loynei F. Sumalinog shared UPRIO’s processes for developing and posting website content. The discussion likewise covered policies on photographs, news articles, and other materials posted on the website, as well as practices that contribute in keeping the website effective and engaging.
Meanwhile, UPRIO Director Dr. Ma. Leslie C. Sales highlighted the role of UPRIO in promoting USM and showcasing the University’s accomplishments and contributions to the community. Prof. Alvin Mibalo and Prof. Nelson Balneg shared their ideas on the website’s layout and management, while Information Officers Charlotte Andrea Tutor and Carl Waron Baldesimo shared how they handle website content and other related tasks.
In her closing message, Prof. Leodelyn V. Delosa, Director for External Affairs of NDMC, expressed appreciation for the benchmarking activity. She said the presentations provided them with practices and ideas that they can adapt and apply at NDMC.
