USM Welcomes CFCST Benchmarking on Intellectual Property Management and Trademark Commercialization

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM), through its Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (IPTTBDO), welcomed delegates from the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) last September 7, 2026, for benchmarking on the protection, management, and commercialization of the Trademark.

The discussion highlighted the importance of treating the University Seal as a valuable intellectual property asset that requires proper protection and management. Through an organized licensing and commercialization system, the University can safeguard its institutional identity, promote legitimate use of its seal, and create meaningful partnerships.
