
USM Reviews 2025 Performance

To provide more references and learning materials for veterinary students, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) officially opened a large box of donated books from ReadWorld Foundation on February 23, 2026, at the Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
ReadWorld Foundation supports the rebuilding of library resources in schools and universities affected by disasters in the Philippines. Through its Adopt-A-School Program, the foundation selected USM for its strong potential to maximize the use of the donated books, especially for veterinary students. The foundation has distributed over 200 boxes of books to public schools across the country to improve access to educational resources.
Dr. Samsudin S. Panday, Vice President for Resource Generation and Entrepreneurial Services, led the opening of the donated books during the Monday convocation. He was joined by Dr. Leorence C. Tandog, VP for Academic Affairs Ms. Quenielyn L. Durendes, VP for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Debbie Marie B. Verzosa,VP for Research, Development, and Extension and Prof. Susan Martinez, Kundo E. Pahm Learning Resource Center Director.
The University expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting how it will enhance instruction, research, and the overall academic growth of its veterinary students.
