Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, the President of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to renew the franchise of DXVL 94.9 with the Philippine Broadcasting Service – Bureau of Broadcast Services (PBS-BBS) on May 19, 2025, at the PIA Building, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City.

Fernando Sanga, the PBS-BBS Director, also signed the agreement, which grants DXVL 94.9 FM a renewed three-year broadcast franchise under the state-run broadcasting network. The director shared insights on how to improve radio programming and utilizing new media to serve the public more effectively. He thanked USM for consistently supporting the government’s communication work and helping share important information with communities.

Dr. Pimentel thanked Director Sanga and PBS-BBS for continuing the partnership. He also reaffirmed USM’s support for development broadcasting and said that DXVL 94.9 FM will keep serving as a way to inform, educate, and inspire the public.

Also present during the signing from USM were Brex Brayan Nicolas, the DXVL Station Manager, Engr. Geraldo Ulep, the Station Engineer, Dr. Jay-R Vildac, the Director for Financial Management Services, and Atty. Sunny Rye Nogalo, the Director of Legal Services. 

Joining to witness the event were PBS-BBS officials: Ma. Eileen V. Eligado, Acting Chief of the Network Division; Benjamin Reuel R. Ortiguero, Jr., Acting Chief of the Administrative Division; Jun P. Romana, Acting Planning Officer; George C. Arceño, Jr., Chief of the Research Division; and Engr. Rodentor O. Domingo, Acting Chief of the Engineering Division.
