All forty-four (44) undergraduate programs of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) now hold Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC), following the recent approval of two additional programs—BS in Microbiology and BS in Veterinary Technology. These programs received their COPCs after the Board of Regents (BOR) meeting held on September 18, 2025, at the University Commercial Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner, Hon. Desiderio R. Apag III, formally handed over the COPCs to the respective deans during the awarding ceremony. In addition, several programs from the Graduate School also received their COPCs. The programs awarded were as follows:
- PhD Education – Mathematics
- PhD Education – Biology
- PhD Education – Applied Linguistics
- PhD Education – Filipino
- EdD Educational Management
- MALT Filipino
- MAEd Educational Management
- MST Mathematics
- MST Biology
- MS Extension Education
The processing of the COPCs was facilitated and supervised by the University Quality Assurance Office, under the leadership of its director, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente.
COPCs are issued to universities to affirm the institution’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in the delivery of educational services.
