The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Main Campus Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Unit earned an overall rating of 86.43% during the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) on April 28, 2025, at the USM Main Parade Ground, Kabacan, Cotabato.

Col. Ruben G. Aquino GSC (INF) PA, Chairman of the RAATI Team, lead the inspection. Also, Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, the USM President, delivered his motivational message during the event.  In his message, he underscored the administration’s commitment to excellence in ROTC training and student development.

The inspection covered different sets of activities designed to assess both the administrative and tactical readiness of the ROTC Unit. These included the Courtesy Call, RAATI Opening Ceremony, Parade and Review, Arrival Honors, Close Order Drill/Drill Test, Rank Inspection, Admin Inspection, and evaluations of the Commandant and Training Staff. Cadets also participated in Theoretical and Practical Examinations, along with Military Stakes to demonstrate their preparedness.

The evaluation and inspection coverage resulted in 99.3%, while the Tactical Field Test earned a score of 80.03%. The cadets performed exceptionally well in the Theoretical and Practical Examinations, achieving a score of 92.38%. The Comprehensive Examination, however, resulted in a score of 56.10%.

This overall rating of 86.43% stands as a testament to the collective efforts and unwavering dedication of the entire USM ROTC community. It was made possible through the combined efforts of the cadet officers, members of Alpha and Bravo Companies, the Commandant and Training Staff, and the steadfast support of the university administration.
