Prof. Ruben L. Tagare, Jr., PhD, a faculty member of the College of Human Kinetics (CHK) at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), serves as one of the Philippine Ambassadors of the International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK).
Prof. Tagare has been a member of IOHSK since 2020 and has worked in its organizing committees for international events. As ambassador, he represents the organization in outreach and engagement activities and supports initiatives in health, sports, and kinesiology.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the Philippines through IOHSK. This role allows me to further contribute to the promotion of health, sports, and kinesiology in both local and international communities,” Dr. Tagare shared in an interview.
Ambassadors receive benefits such as waived membership fees for 2025 and 2026, priority access to scholarships and grants, and conference-related support. High-performing ambassadors are invited to the 2026 International Conference in Seoul, Korea, with travel and accommodation support.
