To optimize institutional assets and strengthen public-private collaboration, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and LBS Digital Infrastructure Corporation (LDIC) officially signed a lease agreement on June 4, 2025, at the Office of the President, Admin Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Key representatives from both parties, including USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel and LDIC Property Administrator Ms. Kristine Gay B. Simon, attended the signing ceremony.
The lease agreement covers the use of land within the university grounds that LDIC intends to develop for telecommunications site, and other telecommunications related services. This initiative is aligned with both institutions’ shared vision of fostering innovation, expanding digital infrastructure, and contributing to regional economic development.
In his message, Dr. Pimentel emphasized the importance of partnerships that align with the university’s goals, while LDIC also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership.
This partnership is expected to yield long-term benefits for both parties, from infrastructure modernization to new avenues for academic collaboration.
