In celebration of Ease of Doing Business Month, the Admission and Records Office (ARO) of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) launched a Fast Lane for Transcript of Records (TOR) Requests for board examination takers.
To promote transparency and awareness regarding the fast lane, a livestream aired on USM Facebook Page on May 15, 2025. It displayed the step-by-step process of requesting a TOR. It also served as a guide for future applicants and highlighted the improved efficiency of the system.
The Fast Lane ran from May 13 to 16, 2025, in support for the upcoming Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) XII Mobile Services, and was designed specifically to assist USM graduates in their licensure examinations. Clients who availed of the service received their TORs within the day. It was said to be an outstanding improvement compared to the usual two or more days processing period.
Moreover, several alumni expressed gratitude and commended ARO for the convenient and responsive service. The clients appreciated the hassle-free experience crucial for board exam takers who are racing tight deadlines.

According to ARO Director Dr. Nelia O. Du, the success of the Fast Lane was made possible through the collaborative effort of the ARO team, the IT support staff, and university administrators with the objective to improve student and alumni services effectively and efficiently. This fast lane was in line with the nationwide theme, “Red Tape to Red Carpet: Better Business Movement in a Bagong Pilipinas,” aiming to streamline government processes and improve public service delivery. It was made possible through the support of the USM Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART), spearheaded by its Committee Chairperson Dr. Lawrence Anthony Dollente, in coordination with ARO and other administrative offices in the university
