A proud moment unfolded recently at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) as the USM Hospital received a prestigious Plaque of Recognition from the Department of Health (DOH), honoring its Above Average Practice with a 3 Green Star Rating for 2025 — a distinction that officially recognizes the hospital as a Green and Safe Health Facility.
The recognition, signed by DOH Secretary Teodoro I. Herbosa, MD, highlights USM Hospital’s continued commitment to quality healthcare, patient safety, and efficient hospital services.
In her announcement during the Monday convocation on December 15, 2025, held at the Administration Building, Dr. Liza Mariposque, Director of USM Hospital, expressed pride in the achievement and gratitude to everyone who made it possible.
She also gave special thanks to the university leadership, particularly USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, for his support to the hospital. According to her, the administration’s continuous backing has been instrumental in improving hospital services and meeting national healthcare standards.
