USM Employees Gather for Fun Run, Launch Gulahay Initiative The teaching and non-teaching personnel of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) gathered for the Fun Run and Gulahay (Gulay Para sa Buhay) on September 29, 2026, at the USM Grounds, Kabacan, Cotabato. The activities brought USM personnel together for health, wellness, rest, and recreation as part of the university’s 2026 Founding Anniversary celebration. The Gulahay initiative encouraged USM colleges, units, and offices to grow vegetables and other food crops within the campus. Each participating unit was given a designated plot to maintain and cultivate throughout the year. As an agricultural institution, USM also aims to make use of available spaces in the campus for food production and encourage employees to maintain the gardens. The vegetables and other crops may also provide fresh food for the university community.
