Prof. Ronald Z. Pascual, from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), received the “Most Promising Technology” award for his innovation called Innovative Biomass Composter during the National Valuation Training for the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program Batch 2, held on August 11–15, 2025, at Patio by Balai Norte, San Juan, La Union.
This five-day training, conducted by the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) in partnership with the Association of PAQE Professionals, Inc., aimed to enhance the competencies of technology transfer officers from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and various agencies nationwide. His recognition highlights USM’s commitment to advancing research and innovation that address real-world challenges through science-based and sustainable solutions. Also, it stands as a promising contribution to agricultural and environmental sustainability, reflecting the university’s continuous pursuit of excellence in technology development and transfer.
