Dr. Efren Magulama turned over the key of responsibility to Dr. Jurhamid C. Imlan as the new Director of the University of Southern Mindanao Agricultural Research and Development Center (USMARDC) during the convocation program on April 1, 2024 at the USMARDC Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

Dr. Imlan, a Professor III from the Department of Animal Science, was the former superintendent of the center. In his speech, he said he was grateful for the new assignment. He mentioned the people he worked with when he started at USMARDC. He highlighted that the center will continue to collaborate with the offices at USM and the external agencies for its overall development.

Present in the ceremony were Dr. Debbie Marie B. Verzosa, the Vice President for Research Development and Extension (VPRDE), the directors of the Research and Development Office (RDO), Extension Services Office (ESO), Research Publication Services Office (RPSO), SOCCSKSARGEN Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (SOXAARRDEC), and the research staff.

Along with this new appointment, Dr. Magulama, who served as USMARDC Director since 2019, is now the dean of the College of Agriculture (CA).
