Celina Paola G. Hernandez, the Class Valedictorian of the University Laboratory School- Senior High School (ULS-SHS), was awarded with Francisco Gil N. Garcia Academic Excellence and Leadership Awards during the Administrative Council Meeting, on June 21, 2024, at the USM Skyroom, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
In an interview, Celina, the Central Student Government (CSG) President for School Year 2023-2024, expressed her gratitude for the unexpected award from President Garcia.
“Nakakatouch po sa akin na recognize po ang hard work po ng ULS… big thanks po talaga kay Sir Pres and for making this final year very memorable.” She said.
“Very memorable po ang naging experience ko dito sa USM same goes with my classmates, thankful po ako na may senior high school pa rin po next year para ma-enjoy pa po ng aming mga adings ang mga good experiences namin.” She ended.
Celina, a two-time National Chemistry Olympiad, said she worked hard and believed this made her at the top. She grabbed every opportunity given to her. She also receive cash incentive during the awarding.
