Deans and faculty members of the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), College of Business, Development Economics and Management (CBDEM), and College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) held an exploratory meeting with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, via Zoom on June 8, 2026 to discuss possible areas of academic collaboration.

During the meeting, professors and administrators from Ton Duc Thang University shared their interest in welcoming USM students and faculty to their campus for short-term exchange programs, academic seminars, study visits, and cultural exchange activities. These programs may provide opportunities to learn in a different academic and cultural setting while strengthening ties between the two universities.

The discussion also covered academic and student exchange programs, faculty and student mobility, student internships in Ho Chi Minh City, joint research and extension activities, and cultural exchange initiatives.
