The MOA signing was conducted on July 1, 2019 at the Malamote Barangay Hall, Kabacan, Cotabato as agreed by both parties. The project team departed from USM at exactly 8:45AM and arrived at the venue around 9:00AM. The program proper for the said activity started at 10:00 in the morning due to some activities of the Barangay.

The activity was started with an opening prayer led by Engr. Maricel Gamolo – Dayaday, ECE, the Assistant Component Leader of the Component II – Internet Connectivity for Remote Areas (ICRA) and the Department Chairperson of the Department of Electronics Engineering. It was then followed by an opening remarks by the Barangay Captain, Hon. Roy Valdez.

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Engr. Alberto C. Arellano then gave his short message. After that was the actual signing of the MOA witnessed by the Barangay Councils of Malamote, the Project Staff, the Dean of the college, Media representative, and residents of the Barangay.

           The program was ended at exactly 11:00 in the morning. The project staff and the council members had time to talk while having snacks prepared by Barangay Malamote.
