General Marc M. Bangoy won the gold medal in the Recurve Under-18 Boys Olympic Round at the Singapore Youth Archery Championships (SYAC) after defeating fellow Filipino archer Chass Maiven Colas, 7-1, in the championship match on July 5, 2026, in Singapore.

Bangoy secured his place in the finals after upsetting top-seeded Taiwanese archer Chen Yu Ming in the semifinals. On the other side of the bracket, Colas earned his finals berth by overcoming his Malaysian opponent, setting up an all-Filipino battle for the gold medal.

In the final, Bangoy delivered a composed performance and claimed a convincing 7-1 victory over his teammate to bring home the individual gold for the Philippines.

The victory capped off another successful day for the Philippine team. A day earlier, Bangoy, Colas, and Rocco Gomez also captured the gold medal in the Recurve Under-18 Team Event after defeating Malaysia in the finals.
