SOXAARRDEC, PPU Bring Project PEN 2.0 to USM-KCC

The Extension Services Office (ESO) Director, Dr. Glyn B. Gabano-Magbanua, gathered College Extension Coordinators (CECs) on November 5, 2026, for a strategic meeting to realign their functions and ensure the seamless execution of the university’s extension goals.
Held at the ESO Training Conference Room, the meeting was attended by CECs including Prof. Jassen Fe Calaoagan (College of Engineering and Information Technology), Prof. Avegale Roy (College of Human Ecology and Food Sciences), Prof. Joan Sadoral (College of Agriculture), Prof. Marjurie Catuguran (College of Trades and Industries), Prof. Vinus Java (College of Human Kinetics), Prof. Richard T. Camara (College of Arts and Social Sciences representative), and Prof. Laurence Arjay Mamburam (College of Business, Development Economics, and Management). Also present were Unit Heads Prof. Florence Roy P. Salvana (Extension) and Prof. Anamarie Uyangurin (Monitoring and Impact Assessment), alongside Dr. Debbie Marie B. Verzosa (Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension).
During the meeting, Director Magbanua emphasized the need to accomplish the designated functions of the CECs as reflected in the Special Orders (SO) issued to them.
“Our success relies heavily on how well we synchronize our efforts with the overarching vision of the university, kaya kailangan nating maintindihan lahat ng mga naka-state sa ating mga SOs para naa-align natin siya sa organizational targets natin,” she stated.
The meeting then transitioned to the evaluation of the 2026 Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR) report to assess target accomplishments and identify areas for improvement.
Concluding the meeting, the team planned to strategically target the indicators from the OPCR by strengthening documentation mechanisms and enhancing inter-departmental collaboration. This underscored ESO’s unwavering efforts in driving impactful community development and advancing the university’s commitment to public service
