Dr. Junatas is a doctoral researcher at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University, Belgium. The original paper titled “Ultrastructural evidence of telocytes in the embryonic chick heart” was published in Anatomia Histologia Embryologia. It reported the morphologic evidence of a new cell type, called telocytes, in the developing heart (cardiogenesis), using the chick embryo model.
