The University of Southern Mindanao, through its Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), conducted a two-day lecture on the 2025 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (RACCS) in partnership with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on February 19–20, 2026, at the University Skyroom, Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato, with university officials and staff in attendance.

Atty. Joey P. Sobrejuanite of the CSC led the first day’s session. He explained the procedures for filing administrative cases, outlined the required contents of a complaint, and discussed the different types of administrative offenses under the 2025 RACCS. He also stressed the importance of observing due process in addressing complaints within government offices.

Building on these discussions, Atty. Shiela Mae B. Basadre, also from CSC, delivered the lecture on the second day. She presented key provisions of the 2025 RACCS, including when an agency may initiate the filing of a case, the proper issuance of a reprimand, the filing of a motion for reconsideration, and the process for correcting or updating personal records.

The activity gathered members of the Administrative Council, personnel of the HRMDO, and representatives from various offices under the Office of the President, ensuring that those directly involved in personnel management were guided on the updated rules.

Further, Ms. Quenielyn Durendes, Vice President for Administration and Finance, and Dr. Nerisssa G. Dela Viña, HRMDO Director, conveyed their appreciation to the Civil Service Commission for providing clear guidance on the 2025 RACCS and for supporting the University in upholding accountability and proper procedures in public service.
