Chemistry Faculty and Alumnus Win Award in International Symposium

Paulette Sofia B. Laurente and her adviser Prof. Ronald Z. Pascual of the Department of Chemistry won 3rd place in the Best Scientific Poster Category of the 2022 Taiwan-Philippine Chemical Bilateral Symposium held on July 28-29, 2022. Their poster was entitled, “Green synthesis of Silver (Ag) nanoparticles with the use of Akupao (Spermacoce laevis Lam.) and evaluation of its antibacterial property.” The symposium, with the theme Forging Bonds Through Chemistry, was organized by the National Sun Yat-Sen University of Taiwan with the support of the Taiwan Ministry of Education.
