Enrollment Process for USM Students S.Y. 2026-2027
June 15, 2026
To kick off the implementation of “Project CEInTRix: Science Education and Innovation Through Robotics,” the University of Southern Mindanao – College of Engineering and Information Technology (USM-CEIT) and Kabacan Pilot Central School (KPCS) convened for a strategic meeting on June 10, 2026. Held at KPCS, the meeting focused on introducing the project and setting the roadmap for its upcoming phases.
Project CEInTRix is an externally-funded extension project headed by Project Leader Dr. Maricel G. Dayaday, alongside component leaders Engr. Melecio A. Cordero, Jr., Engr. Nico Jim Varon, and Engr. Jay Ar Esparcia. This extension initiative aims to enhance robotics education in basic-education, particularly among teachers and learners under the Special Science Elementary School (SSES) program.
During the meeting, Project Leader Dayaday introduced the four major components of Project CEInTRix:
•CEInTRix.dataMap (Examining School Robotics Education Readiness and Integration)
•CEInTRix.devKit (Development of Instructional Modules, Teaching Manuals, and Trainers in Robotics for Basic Education)
•CEInTRix.techTrain (Robotics Capacity Building and Hands-on Training for Science Educators)
•CEInTRix.innoTeach (Classroom Innovation Through Integration of Robotics)
Following the introduction, both teams mapped out specific schedules and activities for each component.
With the pre-implementation groundwork successfully laid, both teams are now set to transition into the actual rollout, which will provide specialized training, instructional resources, and technical assistance.
The partnership between USM-CEIT and KPCS reflects a shared commitment to nurturing innovation and preparing young learners for the challenges and opportunities of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Through this collaboration, both institutions aim to cultivate a generation of technologically competent, creative, and globally competitive students.
