The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted an inspection and monitoring for the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program on June 24, 2026, at the Lope E. Dapun building, College of Business, Development, Economics, and Management (CBDEM), USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
This activity aimed to observe, assess, and evaluate the institution’s compliance with existing laws and policies, particularly those outlined under PRC Resolution No. 1471, series of 2021, and relevant provisions of Republic Acts 8981 and 9298.
It also sought to ensure the maintenance of ethical and technical standards in the conduct of the accountancy program.
Based on the inspection, the monitoring process serves as a regulatory tool to determine whether educational institutions and their personnel adhere to established guidelines and to recommend necessary corrective or preventive actions when needed.
It forms part of the PRC’s continuing efforts to uphold quality education and strengthen the standards of professional practice in the field of accountancy.

Following the inspection, a signing ceremony was held as part of the official documentation and confirmation of the activity conducted.
Through this initiative, the PRC reinforces its commitment to ensuring that institutions like USM remain compliant and responsive to national regulatory frameworks, while continuously improving the delivery of education and professional training for future accountants.
