The College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) of USM conducted a orientation for the Competency Enhancement Program (CEP) with the parents, guardians, students and faculty members of the college attending on January 15, 2026, at the Graduate School Social Hall, USM, Kabacan Cotabato. 

The orientation highlighted the policies and guidelines of CEP, that aims to help prepare graduating students for the board examination. It also served as a venue for information dissemination and clarification, allowing both students and parents to raise concerns and gain a better understanding of the program. The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (BSABE), Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), and Bachelor of Science of in Electronics Engineering (BSECE), were the programs of the college offering CEP this semester. 

A total of 16 faculty members, 82 parents, and 167 students across the department attended the orientation. Further, the activity concluded with the agreement between the college and the parents on the guidelines and policies of CEP. RJCuarteros
