Dr. Jalaloden B. Marohom, Director of the USM Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (IPTTBDO), won the Best Oral Presentation for Academic Paper Award at the International Halal Science and Technology Conference 2025 (IHSATEC) & 18th Halal Science Industry and Business (HASIB)in Bangkok, Thailand, held on December 18–19, 2025.

He received the award for his research titled “Positioning Strategies and Consumer Behavior toward Processed Halal Chevon Products: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach.” The study examines consumer behavior and marketing strategies in the halal food industry.

The conference, themed “Green Halal: Beyond Sustainability,” featured 36 presentations from international scholars, researchers, and industry professionals. It provided a platform for sharing research and ideas on Halal science, technology, industry, and business.

The Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University, organized the event in collaboration with the Research Synergy Foundation. The organizers held the conference both in person and online through Zoom and YouTube.
