General Marc M. Bangoy, a Grade 11 student of the University of Southern Mindanao – University Laboratory School (USM-ULS), brought home two gold medals and one bronze after competing in a major national archery event, the 2025 World Archery Philippines–Philippine Sports Commission (WAP-PSC) Philippine Archery Cup Finals. The competition took place at the STI Gold Toe Archery Range, Marikina City, from November 27 to 30, 2025.

At just sixteen, Bangoy showed outstanding skill in the Recurve Under-18 Boys category. He topped both the qualifying round and the Olympic round, earning a gold medal in each. He also added a bronze medal after competing in the tough Recurve Men’s Open category where the national team of the Philippines also competed.

His recent wins followed strong performances earlier in the year, where he ranked number one in score average based on two previous WAP-PSC legs held in July and September 2025.

Bangoy is no stranger to national success. Earlier this year, he brought home four medals—two gold and two silver—during the 2025 Palarong Pambansa held from May 24 to June 2 in Laoag City, Philippines.
