Cuyapon, Kabacan, Cotabato — Faculty members from the College of Business, Development, Economics, and Management (CBDEM) of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) conducted a one-day seminar on October 17, 2025, aimed at empowering members of the Kabacan Moro Women’s Organization Inc. (KMWOI) through a series of discussions on marketing delicacies and organizational management.

The seminar was strategically crafted to integrate marketing and organizational concepts, ensuring the preservation and protection of traditional Maguindanaon delicacies while strengthening the unity and collaboration among organization members.

Attended by thirteen KMWOI members, the session featured Prof. Analyn A. Gonzales and Prof. April Geraldine M. Quiñonero, who delivered comprehensive lectures on Marketing Maguindanaon Delicacies and Organizational Management, respectively. The discussions highlighted essential topics such as business principles, marketing strategies, effective organizational communication, and sustaining organizational stability.

As the activity concluded, CBDEM Extension Coordinator Laurence Arjay T. Mamburam expressed his commitment to continued support and his deep respect for the women’s efforts in cultural preservation.

“Saludo kami (ang USM-CBDEM) sa mga Moro women na patuloy na nagpapanatili ng yaman ng kultura sa bawat lutong Maguindanaon. Sa inyong mga kamay, ang tradisyon ay nagiging inspirasyon—ang bawat putahe, ay nagiging kwento ng pagkakakilanlan at pagmamahal sa bayan,” he said.

The seminar underscores the university’s initiative to protect and preserve Maguindanaon cultural heritage by harnessing academic expertise not only in marketing but also in strengthening the vital role of organizational members toward community empowerment and cultural sustainability.
