USM-COL, CDA Join Forces to Empower Cooperatives, Train Future Legal Professionals

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) together with the 23 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), under Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III’s charge, participated in the 2nd Executive Forum 2025 on September 18-20, 2025 at Bulacan State University, Guinhawa, Malolos City, Bulacan.
The forum served as a platform for SUC Presidents to discuss pressing issues and provide key updates. Discussions covered policy directions for 2025 and beyond, updates on CHED programs, and concerns on fallback positions for SUC Presidents at the end of their terms.
The event also featured friendly sports competition to encourage a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness among SUC leaders and delegates. USM delegation was led by USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel; USM-KCC Chancellor Dr. Ronielyn F. Pinsoy; College of Human Kinetics (CHK) Dean Dr. Norge D. Martinez; College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) Dean Dr. Philip Lester Benjamin; Director for Instruction (DI) Director Dr. Leonard Paleta; USM and USM Board of Regents (BOR) Secretary Jennifer E. Sinco; and CHK faculty members Marlon A. Mancera, Priscilla P. Dagoc, Eduard S. Sumera, Jerum B. Elumbaring, Giselle M. Mancera, Dr. Ruben L. Tagare, Jr., Jemwell B. Francisco, Emmanuelle E. Vios, Joanna Carly P. Esponja.
