The Department of Economy Planning and Development (DEPDev) and the Satellite Socio-Economic Research and Data and Analytics Center (SERDAC) at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on September 02, 2025, at the Office of the President, Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
The MOA, signed by USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel and Dr. Phlorita A. Ridao, the DepDev Director, tackles the partnership of the two institutions for the “Benchmarking SOCCSKSARGEN’s Transition into an Agro-Industrial Hub and Agri-Eco-Cultural Tourism Center” project.
The said project aimed to conduct benchmarking study to defined quantifications for an Agro-Industrial Hub and Agri-Eco-Cultural Tourism Center, assess SOCCSKSARGEN’s current standing, and identify strategic actions for achieving it 2045 vision.
