USM’s Radio Station Celebrates 19th Founding Anniversary

Various academic programs of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) participated in the online accreditation of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. on July 14 to 18, 2025.
Dr. Ferdinand G. Bulusan, from Isabela State University (ISU), alongside Dr. Agnes D. Arellano of Batangas State University- The National Engineering University, served as the overall coordinators of the accreditation exercise.
The following programs were for preliminary survey visit:
- Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Pre-law)
- Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics
- Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting
- Bachelor of Public Administration
- Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science
While these programs below, undergone the second survey visit:
- MA in Teaching Industrial Arts
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Dr. Jonald L.Pimentel, the USM President, expressed his appreciation to the USM personnel who worked together for the accreditation process, and that he appreciates the expertise of the AACCUP Inc. Accreditors for guiding USM to better serve its clienteles.
“As part of our ongoing pursuit of excellence in higher education, we affirm our commitment to the accreditation process, we also recognize that accreditation is a vital process to ensure the quality relevance and continuous improvement of our academic offerings at USM,” the President remarked.
As USM waits for its official results, the President looks forward that the accreditation exercise will help provide students with programs that meet national and international benchmark for quality, reliable, and effective education.
Spearheaded by Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, University Quality Assurance Office (UQAO) Director, the survey visit was successfully conducted working in close coordination with USM’s academic department personnel and staff.
