Kabacan, Cotabato—The University of Southern Mindanao Graduate School (USM-GS) held its annual In-House Review on June 14, 2025, at GS, DD Clemente Building, USM, Kabacan.
A total of 43 oral presentations were presented, featuring the latest research and innovations from both doctoral and master’s level students. This included 18 presentations from doctoral candidates and 25 from master’s candidates, covering various topics within science, social research, and innovation categories.
Expert panels evaluated the entries. Professor Emeritus Dr. Naomi G. Tangonan, Dr. Ma. Teodora N. Cabasan, and Dr. Gwen Iris L. Descalsota-Empleo judged the Science Research Category. For the Social Research Category, the panel included Dr. Ruben L. Tagare Jr., Dr. Romiel John P. Basan, and Dr. Rowena V. Sosas. Dr. Josephine R. Migalbin, Dr. Marilyn P. Calub, and Engr. Willie Jones B. Saliling comprised the Innovation panel. Panelists offered constructive feedback and insights to participants.

The review, themed “Driving Development through Research and Innovation,” selected and recognized outstanding university research. It also served as a venue for exchanging discoveries, products, and strategies relevant to USM’s vision, mission, and objectives.
