The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) expressed its support to the Cotabato State University President’s Day and State of the University Address (SUA) on May 08, 2025, at the CotSU Gymnasium, Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City.

Dr. Sema G. Dilna, CotSU President, highlighted significant advancements within the university in the last four years, including infrastructure upgrades, increased funding, and improvements in research, extension, and production. In his speech, he emphasized his gratitude for the continued support of its partners and stakeholders. 

Dr. Abubakar A. Murray, the Director of Human Resource and Development Training (HRDT) Office of USM, along with Nasrudim Datucali of Institute of Middle East and Asian Studies, Loynei F. Sumalinog, and Carl Waron M. Baldesimo of University Public Relations and Information Office (UPRIO), represented USM in the activity. 

Over the years, USM and CotSU have collaborated on joint projects in research and instruction with the goal to address the needs and resolve concerns of communities in Region XII and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
