Kabacan, Cotabato — The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Junior Marketing Executives Society (JMES), in partnership with the College of Business, Development Economics, and Management – Local Student Government (CBDEM-LSG), successfully conducted the 2nd Pag-Ambit Outreach Program at Barangay Bannawag Daycare Center, Kabacan, Cotabato, on May 2, 2025.

The “Serbisyong Pag-Ambit” initiative, held under CBDEM CONNECT (Community Outreach: Nurturing, Educating, Connecting Together), aimed to support young learners through the distribution of school supplies, food packs, and interactive activities that promoted learning and community engagement.

The event was conducted in coordination with CBDEM College Extension Coordinator Prof. Analyn A. Gonzales, faculty members from the Business Administration Department, and local officials, including Barangay Captain Hon. Rodel B. Laoagan, SK Chairman Hon. Mark Ariel V. Ticbe, and SK Councilor Hon. Franklin P. Ligaten, Jr.

JMES officer Coleen Faye Remotin shared that the outreach was funded through the organization’s daily savings initiative, where members contributed one peso daily.

“The name of our program is ‘Serbisyong Pag-ambit’ – a Cebuano term which means sharing what you have with your fellow citizens or community. This has been our mission,” Remotin said.

Parent-beneficiary Analiza Mendoza expressed gratitude, noting that the school supplies and meals were timely and appreciated.

Magagamit nila sa pasukan. Nabusog rin sila at nag-enjoy pati na rin kami mga parents. Maraming salamat,” Mendoza stated.

Through this outreach, CBDEM reaffirms its role in community engagement, fostering meaningful connections and delivering support to underserved communities.
