𝗨𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The University of Southern Mindanao, through the USM KTTO-IMPACT team, actively participated in “Inoblasyon: The UP Innovation Summit 2026 and KTTO-IMPACT NXT Presidents Forum and Kick-off Workshop” held from May 5–7, 2026 in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The first two days of the event, conducted at the SMX Convention Center Aura, gathered innovation leaders, industry experts, and higher education institutions for plenary sessions, innovation cluster engagements, industry discussions, and collaborative networking activities aimed at strengthening innovation ecosystems and technology transfer initiatives across the country.

Representing the university during the summit proper were Dr. Jalaloden B. Marohom, Head of the USM IP, Technology Transfer, and Business Development Office (IPTTBDO) and Project Leader of USMart TBI, together with Dr. Analyn Gonzales of the Faculty of Business Administration, College of Business, Development Economics, and Management (CBDEM).

On May 7, 2026, USM also joined the KTTO-IMPACT NXT Presidents Forum and Kick-off Workshop held at the UP BGC-Henry Sy Sr. Hall, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. During the Presidents Forum, Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, SUC President IV, participated in discussions centered on sustainable technology transfer frameworks for research commercialization and strategies for strengthening institutional innovation systems among higher education institutions.

Meanwhile, Dr. Marohom and Dr. Gonzales participated in the Kick-off Workshop sessions focused on commercial readiness, market validation, and strategic pathways for transforming research outputs into market-ready and socially responsive innovations.

Through its participation in the summit and workshop, USM continues to strengthen its commitment to innovation, industry collaboration, and the translation of research into meaningful societal impact and sustainable development opportunities.
