Kabacan, Cotabato — The University of Southern Mindanao Satellite Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center (USM-SERDAC), in coordination with the Extension Services Office (ESO), successfully conducted a three-day Training-Workshop on Project Design and Evaluation on May 26-28, 2025, at the Kundo E. Pahm Learning Resource Center, USM.
The training-workshop gathered College Extension Coordinators (CECs), faculty members, and staff from various colleges to strengthen their capabilities in planning, designing, and evaluating extension projects—an essential part of ensuring that the university’s extension programs and research have a meaningful and lasting impact on its partner communities.
Sessions were led by Atty. Karlo Martin C. Caramugan, EnP, and Dr. Roperto S. Deluna Jr., who delivered in-depth lectures on project design frameworks, evaluation tools, and strategies for evidence-based planning.
Participants engaged in hands-on workshops, group exercises, and output presentations, which were followed by critiquing and feedback from the resource speakers. These interactive sessions allowed attendees to apply their learning directly and refine their proposed project plans based on expert input.
The workshop supports USM’s commitment to inclusive, data-informed development and reinforces SERDAC and ESO’s mission to promote research-based planning and responsive community programs.
