 𝗶𝗲\, 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗦𝗠
 \n\n\n\nA total of 15 colleges\, grouped into four competitive units\, mar
 ched in unity as the highly anticipated Unilympics 2026 officially opened 
 today\, May 18\, at the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Auditorium.\
 n\n\nThe opening ceremony brought together student-athletes from various c
 olleges and satellite campuses\, displaying school pride and sportsmanship
  as they geared up for a series of athletic competitions.\n\n\nThis year
 ’s participants were organized into four mythical and symbolic units\, e
 ach representing its own identity and competitive spirit: Valiant Bakunawa
  of Unit I\, Golden Panthers of Unit II\, Obsidian Pythons of Unit III\, a
 nd Bagani Warriors of Unit IV.\n\n\nA key moment of the ceremony was the P
 ledge of Sportsmanship led by Joshua Abraham D. Ferrer\, a MASTS 2025 gold
  medalist\, Finals MVP\, and captain of the Men’s Volleyball Team.\n\n\n
 Meanwhile\, Chairman of the Officiating Officials Committee Dr. Jomar B. E
 sto administered the oath for officiating officials\, reaffirming their co
 mmitment to fairness and integrity in every competition.\n\n\nThe auditori
 um erupted in cheers as the USM Buffalo team captains lit the ceremonial u
 rn\, signaling the official start of the university-wide athletic meet.\n\
 n\nIn her message\, USM Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leorence C
 . Tandog\, highlighted the role of sports in fostering discipline\, solida
 rity\, and personal growth among students before formally declaring UNILYM
 PICS 2026 open.\n\n\nDuring an interview\, Jerome Jay Kkouz Andus of the O
 bsidian Pythons shared that their team draws strength from teamwork\, disc
 ipline\, and mutual trust.\n\n\n“We may have different skills and experi
 ences\, but we share one goal—to represent our college with pride and gi
 ve our best in every game. To our CBDEM community\, thank you for your sup
 port and belief in us. Win or lose\, we hope to make you proud and embody 
 the true spirit of sportsmanship and unity\,” Andus said.\n\n\n\nCarryin
 g the theme “One USM: Forging Unity\, Inspiring Greatness Through Sports
 \,” colleges and satellite campuses across the university will compete i
