Dr. Rene U. Handoc, the then Associate Dean of USM-KCC took over as Campus Dean effectie June 10, 2010. Prior to his designation as the Associate Dean of KCC under Dr. Rufino S. Garzon, he was also the Chairman of the Research and Extension Department in 2004.

Dean Handoc was born on November 20, 1958 to Mr. Teofilo R. Handoc and Mrs. Dirip U. Handoc of Kidapawan City. He spent his Elementary days at the Kidapawan Pilot Elementary School and graduated with honors in 1971. He enrolled at Kidapawan National High School and finished as Third Honorable Mention in his class in 1975. He took up Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Mindanao, Davao City and Graduated in 1981.

During his teaching stint at North Cotabato College of Arts and Trades, now University of Southern Mindanao- Kidapawan City Campus, he was sent as a scholar to Marikina Institute of Science and Technology and finished his Master in Technician Education in 1986. Since his thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, he pursued his doctoral degree at the University of Southeastern Philippines, Davao City in 2002 and graduated Doctor of Education. He is married to Mila M. Handoc, and blessed with three kids Kathleen, Joseph David and Laraine Dee.

New in his position as Campus Dean of KCC, Dr. Handoc has bright plans for the institution and is trying his utmost in every aspect of management in answer to the mission/vision of the University in general, and the studentry in particular.
