LGU Kabacan taps ICT Center Staff for AEWs ICT Training |

 The Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and other interested employees of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kabacan were trained on Basic ICT on April 13, 2007. The training was conducted at the Kabacan Municipal Hall, Kabacan, Cotabato.
The training aims to provide the participants the knowledge and skills on how to use the computer through simple demonstrations and hands-on exercises, and how to get information and/or technologies using the internet.

K-agrinet launching and Techno-clinic in Kidapawan City |
 In collaboration with Cotabato Agricultural and Resources Research and Development Consortium (CARRDEC), the Kidapawan City FITS Center hosted a two-day Technology-Clinic on April 16-17, 2007 at the City Gymnasium. It was participated by about eighty farmers from the city and sixteen experts from University of Southern Mindanao. Among the experts were the Magsasaka Siyentistas of the center, Mr. Rogelio Genosas (sustainable organic production and goat raising) and Mr. Bienvenido B. Garcia, Jr. (durian production). The same were given the chance to share their farming practices both for the experts’ evaluation and the farmers’ information. Commodities discussed include poultry and livestock, high value fruits, rubber, banana, palm oil, vegetables, rice, corn and other related commodities. An exceptional interaction between the experts and the farmers is noted on the occasion. Read more... |
